Description
Enjoying a sip of Cihuatán Rum is like discovering El Salvador. The small Latin American country is colorful, optimistic, cheerful and unique.
Cihuatán Rum is El Salvador’s first rum distillery and aims at share this charming spirit with the world.
It is crafted in the Cihuatán valley by master blender Gabriela Ayala, who draws the inspiration for the rums from the country’s rich Mayan heritage.
Cinabrio, named after the mineral from which the ancient Maya produced the colour red, is the 12-year-old expression of the Cihuatán rum range. Aged in ex-Bourbon barrels, this rum offers a complex aroma of orange peel, plums, pistacchio, toasted oak, sugar cane and ripe starfruit.
