Description
Enjoying a sip of Cihuatán Rum is like discovering El Salvador. The small Latin American country is colorful, optimistic, cheerful and unique.
Cihuatán Rum is El Salvador’s first rum distillery and aims at share this charming spirit with the world.
It is crafted in the Cihuatán valley by master blender Gabriela Ayala, who draws the inspiration for the rums from the country’s rich Mayan heritage.
Cihuatán Xaman is an ultra-premium rum named after the Mayan god of the North Star and protector of the Cihuatán valley. This elegant composition features 15 year-old rums aged in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, which are then finished for 1 year in Mayan Ceiba, a local wood which lends Xaman rich character and alluring profile.
Xaman offers notes of grilled pineapple, plums, bacon, clove, balsamic and leather.
