The sourness of plums rushes through you like lightning! “Off Trail LIGHTNING STRIKE ~Inazuma~” uses plums from Kosuge village harvested this year to give you a sense of the terroir. The base blend is a Brett Pale Ale that has been aged for 6 months but has plenty of tropical fruitiness. I chose it because it matched very well with the sourness of plums. This year, as the heat continues into September, we wanted to create a drinkable beer that can be enjoyed off-trail, so we also blended blonde ale. The pungent acidity of plums is balanced by ginger.
