Description
Type: Sparkling
Country: England
Region: Sussex
Grape Variety: Chardonnay, Seyval Blanc, Reichensteiner, Madeleine Angevine, Pinot Noir, Rondo
Alcohol Percentage: 12%
Climate: Cool climate yet with variable weather and late spring frosts
Ageing: The grapes are tipped, de-stemmed, crushed and pressed in the pneumatic press designed to prevent any oxidation of the must. The juice is then gently transferred into fully temperature-controlled tank for fermentation. Once the base wine blend has settled and is ready to be made into fizz, it is transferred into Charmat tanks for secondary fermentation
Color: Beautiful, vibrant raspberry pink
Nose: Luscious confected strawberry aroma with some floral notes
Palate: Dry and full of wild strawberry, redcurrant and rhubarb flavours. The wine has a fine and persistent mousse with great depth and complexity. Great balance and a clean crisp finish with good length
Fitz is sparkling wine made in England, created using the same production method (Charmat method) as Prosecco to give a fresh fruit-driven flavour and easy-drinking style.
