Description
The Sanchez distillery is a small family-owned business established for over 150 years in Candelaria Yegolé, a village in the state of Oaxaca. For four generations, the maestro mezcaleros Sanchez have been succeeding each other from father to son to produce exceptional quality artisanal mezcals. Smaller in size and with a wider diameter than the Cuishe agave, the Madre Cuishe (mother Cuishe) is named after a tradition of planting these agaves around the Espadin fields to protect them, like a mother would protect her children. It is generally found in high-altitude areas with a more moderate climate than the Cuishe environment.
